Branding for Nike athlete: Lebron James
This project was developed as a concept project in 2010;  when Lebron joined the Miami Heat and changed his jersey number from ’23′ to ’6′.  This re-brand also reflects his initials and nickname “King James”.

Lebron James is one of a small number of Nike athletes who have a dedicated design team.  These design teams consist of several types of designers and strategist – from shoe designers to graphic designers.  This logo was designed to be used on branded Lebron James merchandise, such as t-shirts, Lebron shoe series and more.

Branding for NBA team concept: Seattle Summit  

Identity project for NBA concept team.  I developed the name, color scheme and logo.  The name is representative of Mt. Rainer and the beautiful mountainous backdrop seen around the city.

Seattle had an NBA team for many years.  A few years ago the team left Seattle for Oklahoma City.  This is a concept for a new Seattle NBA team.

ManUp is a fatherhood Initiative in Henrico, Virginia. The initiative was founded to encourage responsible fatherhood in the county.

Concept logo I developed for one of the Nike’s featured athletes – NBA phenom Kevin Durant.

Logo and Website redesign concept: General Services Administration  

This is a project I designed for GSA during a period when they were considering redesigning their site, to make it more user friendly and easy to navigate.

GSA has a broad range of visitors, from tech savvy users to individuals who don’t use the web much.  My goal was to design a ‘smarter’ site by laying out content in a very simple aesthetically pleasing grid.  Instead of using a very generic javascript slideshow; I created a slideshow that displayed the most popular and important  information in larger areas than other content.

Branding concepts for NBA team: Oklahoma City Thunder  

Identity concept project for NBA team Oklahoma City Thunder.

The original album, “Take Care” provides an inside look into the life of the artist.  It’s very honest and was a highly anticipated release.  After listening to the complete album several times, the one thing that stood out to me more than anything else was the mix of sounds.  There are tracks on the album with tones that you’d expect from a jazz musician and there are sounds with hard drum kicks and fast tempos – which you’d hear on albums released by hardcore rappers.

My approach in designing this booklet was to illustrate what I thought was the theme of the album – a young man doing well, living lavishly and enjoying the fruits of his labor.  The photography, graphics and even the font used in this booklet tell a story inline with the theme of the album.  The front cover photo was carefully selected to illustrate the fact that the artist is off living the good life.  The empty shoes suggest the artist and a female companion are off having fun in a lake – too busy enjoying himself that he couldn’t make it to the photo shoot.
